Start Your Engines

J.J. Abrams is the man behind some of entertainment’s most influential series. He brought us such hits as Felicity, Alias, and Lost. In his latest project, which he co-created with LaToya Morgan, he goes back to the 70s.

Duster follows a talented getaway driver who is employed by the Southwest Al Capone. As the crime syndicate grows in reputation, a plucky young agent is determined to take them down. In the process, she tries to turn the driver to help her cause.

The first two episodes of Duster drop Thursday, May 15, on Max.

The College Experience

College can be some of the most memorable years of your life. It’s an opportunity for a fresh new start and to reinvent yourself. In Overcompensating, two incoming freshman seize that chance.

Benny is a closeted former football player who was both popular and smart. Meanwhile, Carmen was more of an outsider and all she really wants is to fit in. They become fast friends and together, they navigate the wild and crazy college life all while trying to figure out who they are.

Binge the entire first season of Overcompensating beginning Thursday, May 15, on Prime Video.

Becoming Human

The Murderbot Diaries is an award winning book series from author Martha Wells. The story follows a cyborg guard who obtains free will. Instead of rising against its masters or exploring its newfound world, it’s content binge watching its favorite shows. While out on its latest job protecting clients, it gradually becomes drawn and connected to the humans it is tasked to defend. The first book is being adapted for the small screen.

The series stars Alexander Skarsgård, Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski. It is written, directed, and produced by Chris and Paul Weitz.

The two-episode series premiere of Murderbot releases Friday, May 16, on Apple TV+.
