Dark Horse Comics has announced the return of Frankie Follis—aka the former supervillain Playtime—in Minor Threats: The Last Devil Left Alive, a new five-issue miniseries launching October 1, 2025. The series marks the dramatic final chapter in the Minor Threats saga, written by Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, with art by Scott Hepburn, colors by Ian Herring, and letters by Nate Piekos. Issue #1 will feature covers by Hepburn, Jill Thompson, and David Aja.
After losing her criminal empire, being betrayed by her ex, and having her identity outed to the world, Frankie vanished from Twilight City. Now, three years later, she’s back—and she’s assembling a crew of washed-up villains to uncover a mystery that could shake the city to its core.
“This is Frankie’s final act—her rags-to-riches-to-ruin-to-revenge story ends here, and it’s a wild ride,” Oswalt teased. Blum added, “It’s the biggest story we’ve told yet, and also the most grounded. Frankie’s facing the past, assembling a team of underdogs, and going all-in on one last, bloody mission.”
Minor Threats: The Last Devil Left Alive #1 arrives October 1, 2025, and is available now for pre-order at your local comic shop for $4.99.
Fans can catch up on the saga in Minor Threats Volumes 1 & 2 and spin-offs like The Alternates, Barfly, and The Brood, all set in the twisted world of Twilight City.
