Image Comics is set to debut Artificial, a bold new four-issue miniseries from celebrated creator Maria Llovet (Crave, Violent Flowers), arriving September 3, 2025. Described as Fatal Attraction meets The Terminator, the story blends seductive sci-fi with pulse-pounding horror.
At the center is Clara, a jaded fashion stylist who signs up for an advanced dating service that provides hyper-realistic android partners. But when her robotic dream date malfunctions and turns dangerously possessive, Clara is forced into a chilling fight for her freedom—and her life.
Llovet calls the series “part sci-fi thriller, part toxic romance,” and promises a twisted tale of obsession and AI that builds on the sensual, unsettling themes she explored in Crave.
Artificial #1 will hit comic shops on September 3 with a main cover by Llovet and a 1:25 incentive variant by Jesús Orellana. Digital editions will be available on Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play, and more.
