The road to Amazing Spider-Man #1000 continues with two chapters this October: issues #13 and #14 (also known as legacy #977 and #978). Marvel has just unveiled the covers for both, teasing a bold new direction for the web-slinger.
This new era officially begins in September’s milestone #975 (ASM #11) and amps things up by putting two Spider-Men front and center—one slinging through the streets of NYC, and the other soaring through the stars on an interstellar mission.
In Amazing Spider-Man #13, writer Joe Kelly teams up with artist Pepe Larraz for Spidey & His Cosmic Friends. This space-bound Spider-Man finds himself adventuring alongside Rocket Raccoon, a mysterious new character named Symbie, and others who may hold the answers to lingering questions from recent arcs.
Then in Amazing Spider-Man #14, Kelly is joined by Ed McGuinness as the story returns to Earth with the debut of a deadly new threat: The Goblin Slayer. Someone—or something—has been targeting Norman Osborn since the start of this run, and things are about to escalate. But with Norman’s dark past, the real question becomes: Should Spider-Man step in to save him?
These issues promise big revelations, high-stakes battles, and fresh twists as the countdown to ASM #1000 heats up. Preorder now at your local comic shop!
