‘Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends’ trailer: It’s time to armor up!

Marvel’s Iron Man and HIs Awesome Friends premieres August 11 on Disney Jr.

Following the success of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, Disney is hoping that young viewers will fall for another trio of young superheroes. Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, which premieres on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel in August, looks at a power armor wearing group.

The animated series features Tony Stark (Mason Bloomberg), Riri Williams (Kapri Ladd), and Amadeus Cho (Aidyn Ahn) as they take on villains such as Ultron (Tony Hale), Swarm (Vanessa Bayer), and Absorbing Man (Talon Warburton). John Stamos, who voiced Tony Stark in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, will voice Tony’s father Howard Stark. Other guest stars include:

  • ESPN sportscaster and analyst Jessica Mendoza as Dottie Doubleday, the friendly owner of Dottie Doubleday’s Batting Cages
  • Jackée Harry as Granny Williams, Riri’s spunky grandmother who owns a mobile pie truck
  • Stephen Tobolowsky as Spencer Q. Sweets, the owner of the coolest candy shop in town
  • Lauren Tom as Helen Cho, Amadeus' enthusiastic and loving mother
  • Gary Anthony Williams and Mo Collins as Nuts and Bolts, respectively, two of Ultron’s hilarious henchbots

Below is the official synopsis.

Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses — Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho — as they work together to solve problems, both big and small, and protect their city. In order to help them save the day, the Iron Friends each have their own Iron Suits that allow them to fly and give them enhanced super-strength.

Marvel’s Iron Man and HIs Awesome Friends premieres August 11 on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel with the first 10 episodes made available on Disney+ on August 12.
