Dynamite Entertainment, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, is revving up a brand-new Supernatural comic book series, taking fans back to the early days of demon-hunting and sibling banter. Set between Seasons 1 and 2 of the long-running TV series, the comic explores untold adventures from the early years of the Winchester brothers’ monster-hunting journey.
This time around, Sam and Dean are facing a disturbing new threat in small-town America. One that’s torching a rust belt town factory by factory, leaving workers in flames and a sketchy CEO who’s suspiciously ahead of the chaos.
The series is penned by Darth Vader and Lilo & Stitch writer Greg Pak, with art by Eder Messias—his partner on Sam Wilson: Captain America. Pak promises a return to the emotional, monster-packed mix that made the show a fan favorite. “A couple of dudes in a cool car chasing monsters, demons, and ghosts? I’m all in,” he said. “We’re going for fun and grounded, and then we’re going to absolutely cut loose.”
For Messias, the job is a dream come true. “It is by far my favorite television series,” he said, recalling how Supernatural was a Saturday night staple in Brazil. “I’m looking forward to bringing this story to fans and giving it my best!”
The debut issue features covers by superstar Clayton Crain, Eder Messias, and David Cousens, plus photo covers showcasing the show’s iconic look.
Supernatural originally ran for 15 seasons on The CW, becoming the longest-running American live-action fantasy series and earning a loyal global fanbase. This comic is the next chapter in that enduring legacy.
