Marvel closed out its Next Big Thing panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with a bang, spotlighting the final chapter of One World Under Doom, the epic event series by Ryan North and R.B. Silva that has reshaped the Marvel Universe over the past year. On sale this November, issue #9 marks the conclusion of Doom’s terrifying rise—and potentially, his catastrophic fall.
Revealed at the panel, Ben Harvey’s dramatic cover for One World Under Doom #9 hints at the collapse of Doom’s rule, even as his last spell leaves an irreversible scar on reality. After defeating Earth’s heroes and locking in his victory with the power of the Sorcerer Supreme, Doom may have unknowingly sealed his own fate. The fallout from his final decision is set to change everything, with a new Sorcerer Supreme possibly rising in his wake.
Fans were also treated to a mysterious teaser image by Devmalya Pramanik showcasing possible contenders for that coveted magical title, suggesting the battle for mystical dominance is far from over.
As North teased, “There’s no way he’s doing what he’s doing without consequences.” And while issue #9 wraps the series, he promised major developments still to come in issue #8.

Stay tuned as the Marvel Universe reckons with the end of Doom’s era—and what comes after. One World Under Doom #9 hits comic shops on November 5, 2025.
