New ‘Batman/Deadpool’ #1 details reveal wild DC/Marvel team-ups & creative teams

What happens when the World’s Greatest Detective teams up with the Merc with a Mouth? DC Comics is about to find out in Batman/Deadpool #1, a 64-page crossover hitting comic shops on November 19, 2025, with a main cover by Dan Mora and a story from Grant Morrison and Mora. The issue follows Marvel’s crossover Deadpool/Batman #1, out September 17.

Described as “200% more Grant Morrison-esque than ever before,” the one-shot mashes together Batman’s brooding, methodical approach and Deadpool’s fourth-wall-breaking chaos. The result? A cosmic, metafictional adventure spanning from Apokolips to Earth-TRN666, with reality itself on the line, and even a singing street named Danny.

But the main event isn’t all you’re getting. Batman/Deadpool #1 also packs in four bonus team-up tales from top-tier creators:

• Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Joshua Williamson, and Hayden Sherman pair Constantine with Doctor Strange for a mystical mashup.

• Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo bring Nightwing (Dick Grayson) face-to-face with Wolverine (Laura Kinney) in a high-energy clash.

• Mariko Tamaki and Amanda Conner deliver a comedic brawl between Harley Quinn and Hulk.

• G. Willow Wilson and Denys Cowan unite Static and Ms. Marvel for an electrifying mission.

The one-shot will arrive two months after Marvel’s own Deadpool/Batman #1 (September 17), continuing this unprecedented DC/Marvel crossover initiative.

With Morrison and Mora steering the main story, an all-star roster of creators delivering backups, and a variant lineup designed to break wallets, Batman/Deadpool #1 promises an unhinged celebration of everything comics can, equal parts dark, absurd, and gloriously self-aware.

To make things even bigger, Batman/Deadpool #1 will feature an extensive variant cover lineup from some of comics’ biggest names, including Lee Bermejo, Jim Lee, Mark Brooks, Jenny Frison, Amanda Conner, Nick Dragotta, Jae Lee, Alexander Lozano, Sean Murphy, Frank Quitely, Bill Sienkiewicz, Ryan Sook, Sozomaika, and more. Variants spotlight other wild pairings, from Wonder Woman/Scarlet Witch to Lobo/Deadpool, plus homage covers referencing The Incredible Hulk #340 and Crisis on Infinite Earths #7.
