This week’s Channel Surfing TV picks will deliver thrills, laughs, and a little bit of both. A new reality competition arrives with a horror twist with Guts & Glory. If you have an emergency, you might not want to go to The Hospital. Then, another death needs to be solved in Only Murders in the Building.
Overcoming Your Fears
Guts & Glory is a new horror-based reality competition. Players are placed into an immersive horror experience filled with genre-themed challenges. It takes a mixture of skill, intellect, and overcoming fears in order to survive the night and continue in the contest.
The series is from award winning special effects artist, Greg Nicotero of The Walking Dead and Creepshow fame. He serves as executive producer and showrunner alongside Brian Witten from Monster Agency Productions. Chris Wagner from White Label, and Andrew Molina from Salaryman are also executive producers with Jeffrey F. January is co-executive producer.
The two-episode series premiere of Guts & Glory release Tuesday, September 9, on Shudder and AMC+. *UPDATE* Guts & Glory will now premiere October 14 on Shudder and AMC+.

Taking on the Mob
You do not want to step foot into the Arconia. There is a good chance whether you are a resident, a visitor, or an employee, you might end up dead. In season five, there is another murder solve.
This time the mystery revolves around the beloved doorman Lester. Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe the death was an accident. As they delve deeper into the investigation, they find links between their building, the mob, and powerful billionaires.

Laughter is the Best Medicine
Seeking medical help can sometimes be a matter of life and death. That’s probably why you should probably seek the expertise from medical staff not associated with The Hospital. It’s described as one of the world’s worst.
The show is a sketch comedy that is mostly improvised. It stars performers from KevOnStage Studios’ favorite established and emerging actors, stand-up comedians, and social media personalities.
