Knull made a less-than-glorious comeback in yesterday’s milestone Venom #250 from Al Ewing, Charles Soule, Terry Dodson, Carlos Gomez, and Todd Nauck. Once feared as the King in Black, he’s now reduced to a prisoner of Hela—who has taken on the ominous mantle of the Queen in Black. But his story is far from over. This January, Knull will break free to reclaim his crown in Knull, a five-issue limited series by Al Ewing and Tom Waltz with art from Juanan Ramirez. The looming clash between these two powerhouse villains is set to ignite one of Marvel’s biggest storylines of next year.
If you missed Venom #250, you’ll have another chance to grab it—Marvel is rushing out a second printing next month, complete with updated versions of Carlos Gomez and Greg Capullo’s variant covers. Plus, more details on the upcoming Knull series and Hela’s role in the Marvel Universe will be revealed next week at the Marvel Comics: Spider-Man and His Venomous Friends Panel at New York Comic Con.
Check out the second printing covers below.
Return of the King!
Weakened but unbroken, the God of the Void bides his time in a cage built by his enemies. What they don’t realize is that in Knull’s hands, nothing itself becomes a weapon—and an even greater power waits for him to seize it, fueling his inevitable vengeance.
Check out the new covers for Venom #250’s second printing and Rafael Albuquerque’s Knull #1 variant below, and be sure to preorder at your local comic shop.
