Skybound and Image Comics, alongside Anonymous Content and Audible, have revealed a first look at Impact Winter: Evenfall #1, a brand-new one-shot prequel to the hit Audible Original series. Written by Audible series creator Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim, Carnival Row) with art by Sumeyye Kesgin (Voyagis), the comic arrives in shops November 5, 2025.
Set in 1953 at the height of the Cold War, the story follows intelligence operative Penelope Chambers as she investigates the mysterious disappearance of female agents across Eastern Europe. Called to Soviet Prague for what appears to be a routine mission, Penelope soon finds herself confronting either certain death—or the chance at eternal life.
Impact Winter: Evenfall #1 (Lunar Code: 0925IM0283, $4.99) will be available at comic shops and on digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play, on November 5, 2025.
This release ties into the Impact Winter universe’s first trade paperback (ISBN: 978-1-5343-3587-5, $16.99), arriving August 2026. The collection will gather Impact Winter #1, Impact Winter: Rook #1, and Impact Winter: Evenfall #1, showcasing the work of Beacham alongside artists Stephen Green (Hellboy & the BPRD), Andrea Milana (Cobra Commander), and Kesgin.
Since debuting, the Audible drama—produced with Skybound Entertainment and Anonymous Content—has become a runaway hit. It was the #1 Audible Plus listen across all categories for three weeks, a #1 Audible fiction bestseller at launch, and climbed as high as #3 on Apple’s fiction podcast charts. With three seasons available and a fourth on the way, the series has been praised for its immersive mix of action, romance, and coming-of-age storytelling, enhanced by cutting-edge binaural sound design and original music.
