Marvel revealed during its New York Comic Con Retailer Panel that Godzilla’s Marvel Universe crossover is heading cosmic this February in Godzilla: Infinity Roar. The five-issue series reunites writer Gerry Duggan and artist Javier Garrón, the duo behind Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, with additional art by Ig Guara.
Picking up after Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe wraps this November, the new series escalates the destruction beyond Earth. Banished into space by Earth’s heroes, Godzilla is far from finished—especially when he crosses paths with Knull, the King in Black. First teased in Godzilla Vs. Spider-Man #1, the monstrous team-up unleashes one of the most terrifying transformations in Godzilla’s long history. Together, Godzilla and Knull spark a galactic war that stretches from Wakanda’s empire in the stars to the Shi’ar, Kree, and Skrulls. Now the Marvel galaxy itself may fall.
“Most movie stars are a giant pain in the ass, but not Godzilla, who has been a privilege and a joy to collaborate with, and the fun will continue in outer space,” Duggan said. “The ideas in the mix now are going to make this the biggest, craziest, and most dangerous Godzilla crossover ever. The Marvel Universe has never been in more peril! See you in space.”
Godzilla: Infinity Roar #1 will feature a main cover by Ken Lashley, with variant covers by Josemaria Casanovas and David Marquez. Preorders are available now at your local comic shop.
