Thieves with Purpose
The tale of Robin Hood has been told many times in film and television. The latest reimagining puts a modern spin even though it still takes place in the past. The story has the backdrop of the conflict between the Normans and Saxons. Robert of Locksley loses everything but his longbow to the Norman power. What begins as a simple act of rebellion inspires an entire movement. As the outlaw and his crew take on their oppressors head on, the daughter of a Norman lord, Marian, infiltrates the power structure to help take it down from the inside.
The show comes from Lionsgate Television with John Glenn and Jonathan English serving as writers and executive producers. It stars Sean Bean, Connie Nielsen, Jack Patten, and Lauren McQueen.
The two-episode series premiere of Robin Hood airs Sunday, November 2, on MGM+.
