As seen on Toy News International, a new series of Blokees’ blind box ‘Defender’ toys are on the way. Rather than the phenomenal range of Transformers Defenders – of which there have been five incredible sets of twelve – this new collection features everyone’s favorite Gothamite defender, Batman.
A blind box series, the Defenders are essentially Blokee’s smallest model kits, featuring snap-together pieces and a slew of ultra-posable ball joint limbs.

Taking inspiration from the last several decades of film and TV, the set features six versions of Batman ranging from Adam West’s television version to 2022’s The Batman, as portrayed by Robert Pattinson. Also included are the Batmobiles for each respective Batman.

As these are blind boxes, that means you get a chance of pulling either a Batman or a Batmobile per box; if this series works like the Transformers line (and the preview image supports this), there are also a handful of rare variants – in this case, special versions of the Dark Knight and Batman V Superman Batman, as well as alternate versions of those Batmobiles. Though the pain of hunting for the one you want in a blind box scenario is often annoying, Blokees ensures one of each toy (discounting the rare variants) per case; if you buy a case for the absurdly affordable thirty-odd dollars, you’re guaranteed to get the whole set.
I cannot express how much I love the Transformers Defenders series. Their construction is top-notch – each figure feels incredibly solid and well made – and their super-deformed looks are delightfully proportioned. I anticipate these Batman figures to be of equally fine quality.
The whole set hasn’t appeared on the Blokees website yet, but BigBadToyStore already has a pre-order page live.
