Adidas has unveiled a major crossover project that unites three global powerhouses, Marvel, Real Madrid CF, and the All Blacks, for a limited-edition capsule collection that blends sport, fashion, and comic-book spectacle. Inspired by a custom Marvel adventure where football stars, rugby legends, and superheroes join forces to “Defend Our Pitch,” the collaboration celebrates the shared grit, teamwork, and fearlessness that define both elite athletes and iconic heroes.
The collection’s narrative unfolds across two iconic locations—the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and the All Blacks’ training grounds—in an original Marvel comic written by Stephanie Williams, illustrated by JL Giles, and colored by Chris Sotomayor. The story sends Real Madrid and the All Blacks into battle against an interdimensional invasion led by Ultron and his army of sentries, triggered by the crash of a rogue ROXXON satellite. As Madrid and New Zealand descend into chaos, the Avengers step in to fight alongside the players, united in defense of their home turf.
Two special comic-style covers highlight the stars: Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, and Vini Jr. appear on the Real Madrid x Avengers version, while Beauden Barrett, Scott Barrett, and Codie Taylor front the All Blacks x Avengers edition.
Bringing this blockbuster concept into apparel, the Marvel x adidas x Real Madrid CF x All Blacks capsule includes a full set of performance-inspired streetwear pieces: two T-shirts, a track top, hoodie, pants, long-sleeve tee, and shorts. Each piece uses a sleek black foundation with striking white and yellow graphics—visual cues inspired by Ultron, the Avengers, and the energy of battle—while co-branded insignias for adidas and the All Blacks tie the collaboration together.
