‘Feral’ #21 goes completely silent, and the final page changes everything

‘Feral’ #21 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

The hit Image Comics series Feral, from Stray Dogs creators Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner, is launching its next chapter with a bold and highly collectible experiment in storytelling. The new arc begins in Feral #21, a special silent interlude issue packed with unexpected cameo appearances, arriving in comic shops this March.

The issue centers on the sudden disappearance of Moosh the Rottweiler—and the lone cat capable of finding him. Ghost, the mysterious and battle-scarred feline, prowls the shadows in search of his missing friend, only to stumble onto a revelation that will permanently alter the world of Feral. Told entirely without dialogue and from Ghost’s unique perspective, the issue immerses readers in a tense, wordless thriller that leans into the character’s hearing impairment. And for longtime fans, a jaw-dropping final page promises a moment that will have Stray Dogs readers buzzing.

“One of my favorite things about Feral is that, out of all the books I work on, this is the one that feels the most purely comics,” said Fleecs. “Even though it’s about cats in a rabies apocalypse and not musclebound heroes… Because this book is an ongoing… because the readers and retailers that continue to support us, we get to do really fun comic book stuff sometimes like this: A completely silent 21st issue (like God and Larry Hama intended) that sets the stage for a brand new arc and has a surprise last page that is guaranteed to have people freaking out… We’re doing big, exciting things this arc. You don’t want to miss it!”

Forstner echoed that excitement, highlighting both the creative challenge and emotional payoff of the issue. “This book continues to amaze me, not only to make but to read. So much has happened over 20 issues and we are going to be doing more amazing things in this new arc! I am excited and thrilled as an artist and reader of this series to get to bring this story to life! We tested the waters on a mostly silent issue at #6 but now we will take it to a new level with Ghost, who actually can’t hear and see how he navigates this terrifying world. It will be a thing of beauty!”
