Everyone’s favorite grumpy cat is getting an adorable new beginning as Garfield stars in a brand-new series from BOOM! Studios: Baby Garfield. Those tiny milestones that mean everything to parents, yes, even pet parents, take center stage as a pint-sized, extra-sassy Garfield experiences life’s earliest “firsts.” The result is a playful, heartwarming comic made for longtime Garfield fans, cat lovers, and readers of every age.
The first of four issues delivers two laugh-out-loud short stories. Grace Ellis (Lumberjanes) teams with Asia Simone (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur) to tell the tale of Garfield’s very first word, while Michael Northrop (Dear Justice League) and Rob Justus (Superman’s Good Guy Gang) spotlight a milestone that’s equal parts gross and endearing: Garfield’s first hairball.
Rounding out the creative lineup are a host of talented contributors, including Ben Clanton (Narwhal and Jelly), Stephanie Cooke (The Racc Pack), Brittany Williams (Mixed-Up), Whitney Gardner (Free Piano), Jordan Morris (Youth Group), Olivia Amoah (Here Are The Seeds), and Kay Davault (Misfit Mansion).
