Ultimate Endgame #1 officially kicked off the final chapter of Marvel’s Ultimate Universe, setting the stage for the line’s dramatic conclusion. The five-issue event from Deniz Camp, Jonas Scharf, and Terry Dodson brings a close to one of Marvel’s boldest publishing experiments in years—a line that reshaped classic characters and energized the industry with daring new takes on the Marvel mythos.
After Ultimate Endgame wraps in April, Marvel will mark the true end with Ultimate Universe Finale #1, a special one-shot that reunites creators from across the line for one last farewell. April will also deliver the final issues of Ultimate Wolverine by Chris Condon and Alessandro Cappuccio, and Ultimates by Camp and Juan Frigeri. Meanwhile, Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Black Panther, and Ultimate X-Men will reach their conclusions in the months leading up to the finale, as the countdown to the end of the Ultimate Universe officially begins.
Told in real time over two years, the Ultimate Universe became a rare, fully interconnected storytelling experiment—one that now stands as a complete saga from start to finish. With its final chapters arriving this spring, the entire run will soon be able to be experienced as one ambitious, cohesive, and deeply rewarding Marvel epic.
