Batman vs. FIVE Robins?! ‘Absolute Batman’ #20 cover reveal changes everything

The full cover for ‘Absolute Batman’ #20 reveals a wild new take on Robin, turning the iconic sidekick into a heavily armed, color-coded force.

DC has unveiled the full main cover for Absolute Batman #20 by series artist Nick Dragotta, and it completely changes the context of the previously redacted image. Where earlier versions showed Batman staring down a massive “R,” the full reveal makes it clear what he is actually up against, and it is far more chaotic than expected.

The cover features five distinct Robins, each with a unique look and role. Two are piloting massive mech suits, with one carrying an oversized weapon. Three others ride color-coded motorcycles in blue, red, pink, yellow, and green. The blue Robin appears outfitted as a medic, marked with a cross on their chest. The red Robin is armed with a large gun, while the green bike comes equipped with a mounted machine gun. The entire lineup suggests a coordinated force rather than a single sidekick, turning the familiar concept of Robin into something closer to a tactical unit.

Absolute Batman #20, written by Scott Snyder with art and cover by Nick Dragotta, goes on sale May 13, 2026. DC teases that in the aftermath of recent events in Gotham, new players will emerge and multiple secrets will come to light, setting the stage for a major turning point in the series.
