Dark Horse Books has announced the Where Monsters Lie Omnibus, a new paperback collection bringing together the complete meta-horror series from writer Kyle Starks and artist Piotr Kowalski.
The omnibus collects both previously released volumes of the fan-favorite horror-comedy, along with the final chapter that was originally released through a successful Kickstarter campaign. The collection also features colors by Vladimir Popov and lettering by Josh Reed.
The series imagines what happens when slasher villains aren’t actively terrorizing unsuspecting victims. Between murder sprees, the masked killers, supernatural monsters, and nightmare-inducing psychopaths retreat to Wilmhurst, a secluded gated community where they can unwind until their next bloody assignment arrives.
Unfortunately for them, someone knows where they’re hiding.
Connor Hayes has survived multiple encounters with slasher killers throughout his life. After narrowly escaping a summer camp massacre and later surviving a deadly puzzle-obsessed murderer, Hayes has dedicated himself to preparing for the day he crosses paths with monsters again. Now a respected special agent, he has finally discovered their secret refuge and is ready to take the fight directly to them.
Blending slasher movie tropes with dark comedy and action, Where Monsters Lie earned praise for its clever premise and willingness to poke fun at horror’s most recognizable archetypes while still delivering plenty of bloodshed and suspense.
The Where Monsters Lie Omnibus arrives in comic shops and bookstores on January 19, 2027. The 280-page paperback is available for preorder now and will retail for $29.99.
