DC and Grant Morrison announce ‘Arkham Asylum 2’ and ‘Wonder Woman: Earth One Vol. 2’

DC and Grant Morrison announce two huge upcoming titles at SDCC ’17: Arkham Asylum 2 and Wonder Woman: Earth One Vol. 2!

Vaunted comics scribe Grant Morrison may have affirmed his retirement from ongoing comic book series, but that doesn’t mean he’s holding out on us entirely. At the DC Publisher’s Panel at SDCC ’17, Morrison announced a 120 page original graphic novel, set in the Batman #666 universe: Arkham Asylum 2.

The OGN reunites the writer with longtime accompanying artist Chris Burnham. Can Burnham a compelling alternative to the downright macabre and eerie visuals Dave McKean brought to the first Arkham?

The other big title announcement: Wonder Woman: Earth One Vol. 2, the sequel to Wonder Woman: Earth One, and the second installment of what Morrison envisions as a trilogy. Early details include Amazons vs. Nazis and the return of detailed, inventive penciler Yanick Paquette.
