‘Shazam!’ will follow ‘Justice League’ and ‘Aquaman’ as the next DC movie

The Rock will not make an appearance, however.

Shazam! will be the next DC Cinematic Universe movie after Justice League and Aquaman, as reported by Hollywood Reporter. The film will be directed by David F. Sandberg and is looking to be released some time in 2019. Unfortunately, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will not make an appearance as Shazam villain Black Adam, Geoff Johns confirmed today, though he is still tied to the spinoff Black Adam movie, which will presumably begin filming after Shazam!‘s release.
