Marvel Comics is always good for a big splash at conventions, especially large cons like C2E2 and they didn’t disappoint with their X-Men Panel on Friday afternoon. The biggest news was the reveal of a 15-part summer event called X of Swords. This is without a doubt some of the biggest news from the entire convention. Writer Ari Bard was there live-tweeting the entire thing.
Customary of Marvel panels a lot of art was shown to hype upcoming books. Panelists included Head of X Jonathan Hickman, X-Men editor Jordan White, writers Leah Williams, Vita Ayala, Gerry Duggan, Benjamin Percy, and Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski. Throughout the hour-long panel art was shown of Cable #4, Children of the Atom #1 interiors, and Children of the Atom #3 cover art, Excalibur #12 cover art, Giant-Size X-Men: Nightcrawler interiors, Marauders #9 interiors, New Mutants #12 cover with interiors from #9, Wolverine #2 interior art and interior art from Wolverine #4, X-Factor #3 cover art, X-Force #12 cover art, and interior art from X-Force #9 and finally interior art from X-Men #8.
