New ‘Rorschach’ cover by Jae Lee revealed ahead of October 13 release

Tom King and Jorge Fornés present a new look at one of the most compelling characters from Watchmen.

DC Comics has revealed a new variant cover to Rorschach #1 ahead of its October 13th release. Drawn by Jae Lee, the cover appears to suggest Rorschach is alive, although quite skinny and old. He’s also pumping iron with a Dr. Manhattan dumbbell and appears to have a mirror accompanied with a decoration, not unlike Ozymandias’ pet cat.

Just last week DC Comics revealed a new series by Tom King and Jorge Fornés called Rorschach set in the Watchmen universe is on the way. Under the DC Black Label imprint, the series is set 35 years after Ozymandias exposed New York City to a giant telepathic squid.

Rorschach is a character co-created by Dave Gibbons.
