AIPT Comics Podcast Episode 90: X of Swords primer: Everything you need to know

The Comics podcast is your weekly recap of the week with a special segment preparing you for X of Swords.

We’re back with another AIPT Comics podcast and recap of the week in comics. This week, we focus on preparing you, the listener, in all things X of Swords! X of Swords kicks off next week and we want to inform you of what you need to read, should read, and could read to prepare yourself for the event! This is your one-stop shop to get in on the ground floor of the biggest X-Men event since HOX and POX.

Before we dig into X of Swords, we recap the biggest news of the week. Starting things off, Babs Tarr and Mariko Tamaki are teaming up for an Overwatch comic at Dark Horse, Mark Waid returns to DC in December, and Chadwick Boseman to be honored with a cover tribute banner.

Marvel Comics released their December 2020 solicitations, which includes new info on X-Men and New Mutants #14 getting a new creative team, Wolverine reaches 350 issues, and the Phoenix Force returns baby!

Also in the news, Undone By Blood going to TV, Penn State Press to launch Graphic Mundi imprint in Spring 2021, Thor #7 features Tony Stark’s phone number for real, Wildstorm will be back, sortaScott Snyder reveals another indie book called Chain, and finally ‘Dawn of X’ rebrand wins Bronze at 2020 Brand Impact Awards.
