Si Spurrier announces X-Men’s next story ‘Reign of X’ coming December 2020

‘Reign of X’ will feature many familiar mutants and some fan-favorite villains too.

Check out the official Marvel Comics Reign of X announcement here.

Si Spurrier dropped a massive teaser for what appears to be the second chapter in Jonathan Hickman’s ongoing X-Men line. A natural second chapter after “Dawn of X” appears to go by the name “Reign of X” as Spurrier tweeted today an image that reads:

After the dawn comes the reign.

Reign of X begins this December.

Check out the tweet below.

The image appears to be art by Mahmud Asrar and it features a whole bunch of villains including Arcade, Shadow King, and Nimrod from the Powers of X series.

Vita Ayala also tweeted the image saying it’s time to wipe the blood off from the “deluge of swords” and get ready for what comes next.

Benjamin Percy also joined in.

This news comes just hours after the first major X-Men event, X of Swords, wrapped up with its 22nd chapter in X of Swords Destruction.

Stay tuned to AIPT as this story will likely be updated later today.
