The last two months have been an intense time for the X-Men as the X of Swords event wrapped up taking place in every book including Hellions. Hellions in particular was a change of pace due to its focus on a side-quest that got most of the team killed. This week, most of the team has been resurrected but a key detail is learned about the grounds of Arakko and its effect on mutants resurrected who died there.
This all ties well into a recent news post at AIPT about how the X of Swords Destruction finale revealed millions of Arakko mutants were coming to Earth very soon. Keep that in mind as you read on below.
Hellions #7 opens with Mr. Sinister lamenting on the death of his team, but soon we discover resurrection protocols are underway.

Soon though, the five are aware something is different when it comes to this resurrection.

And that includes Orphan Maker, who apparently has such an awesome mutant power it could destroy the world. All we know about his powers is that there’s something quite dangerous underneath the armor holding it all back as a cut in his armor spewed something on an enemy that liquidated Scrambler’s face in an earlier issue of Hellions.
Soon the data page reveals the nitty-gritty about what it means to be from Arakko and those that are resurrected there.

Apparently being resurrected if you died in Arakko means you get a power-up and apparently a mood change. We get to see it a little later in the issue with Wild Child and Nanny who are “more” as the report says above.

Judging by their demeanor they’re simply more intense, but something appears to be brooding inside them. Later, Wild Child makes a point he needs to start a family–in an animalistic way to be clear–which is rather weird for him to say.
What does this mean for Wild Child, Nanny, and Orphan Maker in the Hellions series? Heck, what does this mean for Earth now that millions of Arakko mutants are going to be living there? And for those looking ahead, how soon before X-Men writers kill characters in Arakko to play around with a slightly different and stronger version of the character? All good questions as we continue to read into Reign of X. That’s all only a shred of the story though and I highly recommend you read the entire Hellions #7 issue to get the full effect.
