BOOM! Studios announces ‘Magic’ #1 sells out

Fans can pick up the second printing of ‘Magic’ #1 in comic book shops on April 28th.

BOOM! Studio announced today that their new series, a collaboration with Hasbro, Inc. and Wizards of the Coast LLC Magic #1 has sold out and is getting sent back to print. The series by Jed MacKay (Marvel’s Black Cat), artist Ig Guara (Marvel’s Ghost-Spider), colorist Arianna Consonni, and letterer Ed Dukeshire is a strong start, as AIPT reviewer Dan Berlin says its “successfully draws inspiration from its legendary source material.” Fans can pick up the second printing in comic book shops on April 28th.

“Record-setting sales of Magic #1 have absolutely blown us away with another historic launch this year,” said Filip Sablik, President, Publishing & Sales, BOOM! Studios. “We are so excited for even more fans to dive into this epic Multiverse of Magic expertly crafted by Jed, Ig, Arianna, and Ed!”

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 31, 2021) –  BOOM! Studios, under license by Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) and in partnership with Wizards of the Coast LLC, has announced today that MAGIC #1, the premiere issue of the new original comic book series from acclaimed writer Jed MacKay (Marvel’s Black Cat), artist Ig Guara (Marvel’s Ghost-Spider), colorist Arianna Consonni, and letterer Ed Dukeshire, perfect for new readers and long-time fans, has sold out at the distributor level!

In response to the overwhelming support from retailers and fans, BOOM! Studios has announced MAGIC #1 SECOND PRINTING, featuring brand new cover art by superstar series artist Ig Guara with colors by Tamra Bonvillain (Once & Future) and available in stores April 28, 2021.

Across the vast Multiverse, those gifted with a “spark” can tap into the raw power of Magic and travel across realms — they are Planeswalkers. When coordinated assassination attempts on Guildmasters Ral Zarek, Vraska, and Kaya rock the city of Ravnica and leave Jace Beleren’s life hanging in the balance, a fuse is lit that threatens not just these three Guilds, but the entire plane of Ravnica. Now these three must covertly infiltrate the wild plane of Zendikar and form a tenuous alliance to uncover why the targets of the assassins have all been Planeswalkers. . . which will lead them straight to one of the most enigmatic characters in Magic history!
