‘Top Chef’ season 18 Power Rankings: Week 6

They put the “stump” in Stumptown.

Though the top five remains unchanged, there was significant movement in our Top Chef Power Rankings this week due to a surprising elimination and a couple chefs returning to the competition. In the quickfire, Tom served as guest judge. He collected a variety of mushrooms found in seven regions of Oregon and asked the contestants to make a dish highlighting the ingredient. As a nod to another nickname for Portland, instead of a table, the chefs had to do their prep on top of a tree stump.

The elimination challenge was a different take on surf and turf. The chefs were divided into two groups with half of them randomly selecting a fish and the other half selecting a game meat. They then partnered off to form teams. In order to honor the indigenous people of the United States, they were to incorporate ingredients from the first foods. To better familiarize themselves, they received an informative history lesson and sample tasting.

Below are the new standings after all the shake-ups from this week.
