Courtesy of Marvel Comics, we have a “glimpse into the future” with an exclusive teaser reveal involving Doctor Doom. This glimpse into the future is part of Marvel’s upcoming comic Timeless #1. The upcoming one-shot is by Jed MacKay with art by Kev Walker, Greg Land, and Mark Bagley.
It’s a story where a parallel timeline threatens to overwrite the future that Kang has fought to control and now he must go to war with time itself.
Peer into the magic ball that is the Marvel teaser below and witness a glimpse of Doctor Doom!
The image above doesn’t reveal too much, beyond the hour of 6:14 and the fact that Doctor Doom oddly has eyes of different colors.
Likely this is a moment Kang will reveal, as MacKay said in September: “In his adventure across the timelines, Kang will reveal things that will happen in the coming years, things that could, and things that should never. He will pit his unstoppable thirst for excellence at all costs against a foe both new and old, and destroy anything in his path to greatness- even if it is an entire world. Some futures will be revealed, others hinted at, and yet others will be annihilated- but which are which?”
So what’s Timeless about?
Kang the Conqueror is a warrior, a destroyer, a subjugator—but even he is subject to the whims and vicissitudes of time itself. When a parallel timeline threatens to overwrite the future that Kang has fought so long and so hard to control, the master of the ages will have no choice but to go to war with time itself, battling through days of tomorrow as he struggles to prevent the end of what is to come!
Expect to find Timeless #1 in comic book shops on December 22nd.
