This week, the AIPT Comics podcast goes off script with a brief intro of news, and then we dive into an interview with writer Kenny Porter. The writer behind the recent relaunch of Superboy as well as the super fun DC Mech, he also crafted the official prequel comics miniseries The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive, out May 16th in comic shops.
The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive is an in-canon prequel to the upcoming The Flash movie, which makes it a highly unique project. Porter and I discuss what went into crafting this tale, like how much info he had about the upcoming movie that has primarily been under wraps and the responsibility of introducing new things into the canon.
New things include incredible abilities we’ve seen in the comics but not in the movies, new villains, and even the Flash ring! It’s also a miniseries that features different artists, so we get into what went into working in that way. On top of that, we also talk about Superboy, so definitely check this one out!
