New Star Wars figures revealed for SDCC and Hasbro’s Pulsecon

A figure that lots of people have been wanting (with tons of great accessories), a diorama base, and two stormtroopers.

On Wednesday, Hasbro revealed a pair of upcoming exclusive items. The first one we’ll take a look at is a Vintage Collection offering that will be available at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Krrsantan

Hasbro’s official description:

A former gladiator turned deadly bounty hunter, Krrsantan is a towering black-furred Wookiee who made a name for himself in the criminal underworld with his intimidating presence and raw strength. Fans can celebrate the legacy of STAR WARS, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away, with this premium 3.75-inch scale STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION KRRSANTAN figure inspired by STAR WARS: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT live-action series. This figure features premium detail and design across product and packaging inspired by the original Kenner line, as well as the entertainment-inspired collector grade deco. Includes figure and 14 entertainment-inspired accessories including two additional sets of hands.

Available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con. Attendees can visit the Hasbro Pulse Desk at Hasbro’s Booth #3213 to receive a one-time use code, which can then be scanned and preordered. One code per customer. Limited quantities will be available to pre-order on HasbroPulse.com after the convention. While supplies last.

14 accessories?

I’ll readily admit that this figure comes with a lot of stuff (which is better for $33.99), but it’s difficult to say where they’re getting that number from. This version of Krrsantan also has a much better headsculpt than the original Vintage Collection release, although that still doesn’t justify the price.

Star Wars: Black Series Starkiller & Troopers

Hasbro’s official description:

STAR WARS fans and collectors can imagine scenes from the STAR WARS galaxy with this premium 6-inch STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES STARKILLER & TROOPERS 3-pack, inspired by the characters in STAR WARS: THE FORCE UNLEASHED video game. During his quest to hunt and destroy Jedi, Starkiller allies himself with some unlikely heroes – and makes decisions that will alter his destiny and shape the future of the galaxy.  Fans and collectors can display these fully articulated figures featuring premium detail and multiple points of articulation in their collection. Includes 3 figures and 16 entertainment-inspired accessories including Force effects and 2 blaster accessories.

Available exclusively later this year as part of Hasbro Pulse Con.

Looks pretty great, right? A figure that lots of people have been wanting (with tons of great accessories), a diorama base, and two stormtroopers.

Unfortunately, it’ll set you back $110.99 before taxes and shipping, which is absurd. Let’s the eventual single-release Starkiller is priced to rip off Hasbro’s customers a bit more gently.
