The AIPT Television podcast enjoys when October comes around because we can celebrate Filipino American History Month. In previous years, we’ve had Filipino creators, journalists, and voice actors come on to not only discuss different aspects of television, but also to share their unique Filipino experience.
In our first episode back following a lengthy hiatus, the AIPT Television podcast is fortunate to have comic writer Budjette Tan join us. He is co-creator of the series Trese, which follows the detective Alexandra Trese as she investigates crimes revolving around the supernatural in Metro Manila. A years ago, Trese was turned into an animated series on Netflix. We discuss a variety of topics from navigating the Komiks scene in the Philippines to living as a Filipino in Denmark to his long journey trying to adapt a creator owned comic series to other mediums.
