Prequel comic ‘John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando: Rise of the Sludge God’ coming March 2024

Out on March 13th, 2024, the three-issue series is written by Michael Moreci with art by Alberto J. Albuquerque and letters by Nate Piekos.

Dark Horse Comics and Saber Interactive are partnering up for a prequel comic, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando: Rise of the Sludge God, to the upcoming game John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. Out on March 13th, 2024, the three-issue series is written by Michael Moreci with art by Alberto J. Albuquerque and letters by Nate Piekos.

MILWAUKIE, Ore., (November 14, 2023)— Dark Horse Comics partners with Saber Interactive to present John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando: Rise of the Sludge God, a comic prequel to the upcoming game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. Written by Michael Moreci (Stranger Things: Kamchatka, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories) and featuring artwork by Alberto J. Albuquerque (Mystery Girl, Robert E. Howard’s Savage Sword) with letterer Nate Piekos (Stranger Things, Black Hammer: Visions)Rise of the Sludge God is set to begin in March 2024.

The comic miniseries presents the terror of a professional crew up against an unstoppable force in Alien combined with a healthy dose of the suspense-filled action of The Thing, peppered with zombified monsters and one gruesome god. Interior artist Albuquerque also creates the wild cover art.
