A Criminal Duo
Sexy Beast is a feature film from the turn of the century directed by Jonathan Glazer and written by Louis Mellis and David Scinto. It is a crime drama that followed a retired criminal named Gal Dove who is drawn back into the life by his unstable gangster friend, Don Logan. It boasted some big star power with Ray Winstone as Gal, Ben Kingsley as Don, and Ian McShane as their crime boss.
In the television series of the same name, we catch up with Gal and Don during their humble beginnings as petty thieves and their rise in the underworld. The show further expands on how their relationship became so complicated as they are recruited for a big job.

Initiating Real-Life Conversations
Mike Judge and Zach Woods first worked together on Silicon Valley. Now the pair, along with Brandon Gardner, have created In the Know. It is a hybrid show that combines elements of stop-motion animation with live-action.
The series gets its name from the fictional NPR radio show that serves as its setting. Lauren Caspian, played by Woods, is the network’s third most popular host. He has good intentions, but he always comes off as a “hypocritical nimrod” both on and off the air. Each episode, he conducts in-depth interviews with real life celebrities and personalities.

Death from Above
Executive producers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks have proven they can make compelling and accurate World War II dramas. They first began with the highly acclaimed Band of Brothers and followed that up with The Pacific nine years later. This week comes the companion series Masters of the Air.
This time around, we learn more about the 100th Bomb Group, who conducted dangerous missions throughout Europe. While 25,000 feet in the air, they had to deal with extreme cold and oxygen scarcity while engaging in aerial combat. No wonder the unit received the nickname the “Bloody Hundredth.”
The first two-episodes of Masters of the Air premiere Friday, January 26, on Apple TV+.
