Marvel Comics has revealed a teaser today for an announcement of a new X-Men series tomorrow. The teaser is light on info, but it does say it’ll come out this October and it will introduce the “next generation of SENTINELS.”
The graphic points out these characters as “humanity’s last line of defense” and appear to be from Marvel events. Given we know from the Free Comic Book Day Comic that the Xavier mansion is now in the hands of the enemy, it’s likely these characters are being trained and recruited there as the manila envelope says “Graymalkin Prison.”
If I were to wager a guess, I’d say these “Sentinels” are all from past events and they’re sick of heroes of all types getting innocent people killed.
The characters revealed are:
- Drumfire – King in Black and Onslaught
- Sawtooth – Secret Empire
- Lockstep – The Death of Doctor Strange
- Voivod (or is it Voirod?) – World War Hulk
