Channel Surfing: Awesome TV picks for the week of 02/03/2025

Catch our Channel Surfing TV picks before the big game this Sunday.

The focus might be on the big game this Sunday, but there is still plenty of other good television to catch this week. Our first of three Channel Surfing TV picks is Invincible, which begins its third season. Explore generational differences in the advertising world in the comedy, The Z-Suite.  Then, a young influencer pulls off a reprehensible hoax during the early days of Instagram in Apple Cider Vinegar

Raising a Superhero

The drama continues to pile up for Invincible. Mark wrestles with family issues, relationship problems, and, oh yeah, the burden of protecting Earth from both internal threats and beyond. A hero’s life isn’t easy.

In the new season, Mark ups his training to prepare from an impending invasion. He must also keep a watchful eye on his little brother who wants to follow in the family trade. Saving the world can bring you into conflict with many people, even those you think are allies such as the Global Defense Agency.

The first three episodes of Invincible season three drop Thursday, February 6, on Prime Video.

Workplace Generational Wars

In The Z-Suite, the “Z” stands for Generation Z. A high level ad executive, Monica, finds herself replaced by up and coming younger employees who have the adept social media skills businesses are looking for today. Monica decides to start her own firm to reestablish her status in the industry and take down the pesky kids who took her job.

The series stars Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls fame in the lead role as Monica with Nico Santos and Madison Shamoun in the cast. Katie O’Brien serves as writer and showrunner while Lance Samuels, Samantha Levine, and Daniel Iron of Blue Ice Pictures, and Eric Wattenberg, Gary Vaynerchuk and Matt Higgins of VaynerWatt, and Graham are executive producers.

Begin streaming the two-episode series premiere of The Z-Suite beginning Thursday, February 6, on Tubi.

Instagram vs. IRL

The Woman Who Fooled the World is a non-fiction book that documents the investigative reporting by two journalists. It covers the rise and fall of one of Instagram’s early influencers whose story inspired the limited series Apple Cider Vinegar

Belle Gibson builds a brand on healthy living via social media. A rivalry with a popular blogger has her desperate to increase her following. When Belle reveals she has brain cancer and takes people along her road to recovery, her fanbase increases exponentially opening the door to many lucrative opportunities. The only problem is that her diagnosis is fake.

Watch all of Apple Cider Vinegar starting Thursday, February 6, on Netflix.
