Last D23 Expo, The Simpsons announced that the animated series would release four never-before-seen episodes exclusively on Disney+. One episode, the holiday themed “O C’mon All Ye Faithful” arrived in December. We can expect the next one, “The Past and the Furious” to be released in a few weeks.
The title has us thinking of ridiculous action sequences, mainly in cars, with a retro feel. Based on the official description, at least there is a historic aspect. Read what The Simpsons episode is about below.
Lisa travels back in time to 1923 and discovers that the Springfield Mini Moose, once key to the town’s ecosystem, were driven to extinction in 1925. Teaming up with young Monty Burns, Lisa works to save the moose, but her actions unintentionally shape his future as a ruthless tycoon.
Seems like “The Past and the Furious” will further expand on C. Montgomery Burns origin story via Lisa’s environmental activism. It debuts on the streamer this February 12.
In the meantime, stream The Simpsons on Disney+.
