Courtesy of MONDO and DC Comics, AIPT can share news of an official facsimile alt-edition cover for Saga of the Swamp Thing #37. This is the first-ever alt-cover collaboration between DC Comics and MONDO. An important comic for history buffs, it introduces John Constantine.
The facsimile alt edition cover is inside of copies of Swamp Thing #37, out today in comic book shops. Readers can find directions to the Mondo store, where they can buy a copy of the cover as a poster.
The alt-cover features artwork by Matthew Allison. “There were a handful of comics in the 80s that felt like they were genuine gateways into another world … portals into an outer/inner dimension, made of ink and paper,” Allison said. “Alan Moore’s SWAMP THING run was one of those. A true shift in the art form and a transcendent experience with every issue.”
Officially available on March 12, 2025, Mondo will be offering a timed edition screen-printed poster, allowing fans to own this striking artwork in a premium format.
