As we reported earlier today at New York Comic Con, DC pulled back the curtain on its newly revived Vertigo imprint, revealing official cover art and announcing ten series set to debut in 2026. The panel, “DC Vertigo: We’re Back!”, was moderated by DC Executive Editor Chris Conroy and marked the first full unveiling of Vertigo’s slate since its comeback was announced last year.
As in its groundbreaking past, the new Vertigo line emphasizes creator-owned, boundary-pushing comics across horror, thriller, and dark fantasy. Fans were treated to cover reveals and surprise appearances, including writer James Tynion IV, who confirmed the continuation of his acclaimed series The Nice House by the Sea with artist Álvaro Martínez Bueno and colorist *Jordie Bellaire. Issue #7 kicks off a second cycle in February, exploring the harrowing fallout of Walter’s experiment and the larger threat it poses to humanity.
The slate also introduces nine brand-new titles:
-
Bleeding Hearts by Deniz Camp, Stipan Morian & Matt Hollingsworth
-
End of Life by Kyle Starks, Steve Pugh & Chris O’Halloran
-
The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery by Chris Condon & Jacob Phillips
-
100 Bullets: The US of Anger by Brian Azzarello & Eduardo Risso
-
Black Tower: The Raven Conspiracy by Ram V & Mike Perkins
-
Necretaceous by Tom Taylor & Darick Robertson
-
Fanatic by Grace Ellis & Hannah Templer
-
The Crying Doll by Mariko Tamaki & Rosemary Valero-O’Connell
-
A Walking Shadow by Simon Spurrier & Aaron Campbell
The rollout begins February 4, 2026, with The Nice House by the Sea #7, followed by Bleeding Hearts #1 on February 11, End of Life #1 on February 18, and The Peril of the Brutal Dark #1 on February 25. The remaining series will release throughout the year.
From zombies and assassins to occult espionage and parasocial horror, the official art previews showcase a diverse lineup of titles that embody Vertigo’s legacy of daring, genre-defying storytelling — and set the tone for its bold new era.
