Marvel today announced the debut of Spider-Man’s latest and most disturbing foe this May with Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral Body Count #1. The one-shot, written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Kev Walker, will reveal the origin of Torment, the super-powered serial killer at the heart of the Death Spiral crossover launching next month across Amazing Spider-Man and Venom.
The Death Spiral event will feature Connecting Variant Covers by Iban Coello. Each of the nine Death Spiral chapters reveals a piece of the larger image, spotlighting a key character with Torment ominously looming in the background. The fully assembled artwork will also be available as a complete variant cover for Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral Body Count. The one-shot’s main cover is illustrated by CAFU.
