DC launches massive Absolute Universe reprint wave as demand continues to surge

DC is preparing a sweeping round of new printings across its Absolute Universe titles as interest in the line remains exceptionally strong.

The publisher is returning dozens of issues to shelves this March to help comic shops restock key chapters, give new readers access to full runs, and allow collectors to complete their sets. The reprints will be available for retailers to order as needed and will not follow a Final Order Cutoff process.

This effort arrives alongside collected editions, including first and second trade volumes like Absolute Batman Vol. 2 out this week, as DC continues to expand availability for the Absolute Universe across multiple formats.

Starting March 4, comic shops will receive reprints of Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, and Absolute Superman. A second wave arrives on March 18, featuring Absolute Flash, Absolute Green Lantern, and Absolute Martian Manhunter.

The Absolute Batman line leads the initiative with several high-numbered reprints. Absolute Batman #1 is returning for an 11th printing. Issues #2 through #7 will receive fifth through eighth printings, while issues #8 through #14 will return for third printings.

Absolute Wonder Woman is also receiving substantial restocking. Issue #1 is getting an eighth printing. Later issues will receive third through sixth printings across the run.

Absolute Superman continues to see strong demand as well. Issue #1 is heading back for a seventh printing, while subsequent issues are receiving third through fifth printings.

The March 18 releases extend the program with multiple reprints for Absolute Flash, Absolute Green Lantern, and Absolute Martian Manhunter. Early issues in those series are largely receiving third or fourth printings.

The large-scale reprint push highlights the sustained popularity of the Absolute Universe line since its launch. Additional reprints of recently sold-out issues are expected to follow.
