Marvel is marking Pride Month with WICCAN & HULKLING: RAID OF ULTRON #1, a new Marvel’s Voices one-shot arriving May 27 that puts one of its most beloved couples front and center.
The issue reunites Wiccan and Hulkling with their extended family, including Scarlet Witch, Vision, Speed, and Viv Vision, for a story that blends celebration with high-stakes chaos. Crafted by an all-star roster of LGBTQIA+ creators and rising talents, the special features work from Wyatt Kennedy, Josh Trujillo, Luciano Vecchio, Zoe Tunnell, Rachael Stott, and more. The result is a character-driven adventure that explores love, legacy, and resilience in the face of a threat determined to tear a family apart.
The Pride special comes two weeks earlier than last year’s edition.
The story kicks off with Wiccan and Hulkling hosting a wedding anniversary party at their new home, picking up threads from Wiccan: Witches’ Road. The festivities are cut short when Ultron crashes the celebration, intent on reclaiming Vision and Viv and unleashing an army of drones on the gathered heroes.
Wyatt Kennedy’s framing narrative anchors the issue, while Zoe Tunnell revisits Hulkling and his alternate-universe half-sister Phyla-Vell as they reflect on their shared heritage and join forces against Ultron’s assault. Josh Trujillo also returns to Vision and Viv, examining Viv’s evolving sense of self and what it means to define her identity as a synthezoid alongside her father.
Marvel has also unveiled Russell Dauterman’s main cover, with more details about WICCAN & HULKLING: RAID OF ULTRON #1 and this year’s Pride Variant Covers set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
