Ignition Press is launching a high-stakes action series this summer with Dispatched, a new title from writer B. Clay Moore and artist Daniel Gete, arriving in comic shops on June 24, 2026.

The series centers on a simple but dangerous concept. A man trapped in a life-or-death situation must rely on unopened delivery packages around him, hoping something inside can help him survive. The results are unpredictable, and often not in his favor.

“I’m thrilled to see Dispatched being delivered soon to readers,” said writer B. Clay Moore. “This was an idea that stemmed from real world experiences some time ago, and I knew Ignition Press would be the right home for it as soon as they hit the ground running. It was one of those things that seemed to come together perfectly in my brain, and the addition of Daniel Gete on art just kicked everything up several notches. Daniel’s the definition of a rising talent, and I’m just as excited to see how people react to his art as I am to see the book announced.”

The story follows Morgan Power, a former black ops agent now living under an alias and working as a delivery driver. His quiet, isolated life is shattered when a routine shift turns into a terrorist siege at a corporate office park. Trapped in a parking garage, Power must rely on his instincts, his training, and a van full of mystery packages as he fights his way through escalating danger to save hostages.

Along the way, he faces not only armed threats but also the psychological toll of his past, as his PTSD resurfaces under pressure. Each box he opens could mean survival or disaster.

Artist Daniel Gete leaned into the physicality and intensity of the story. “I hope the reader feels every blow, every death and every sudden burst of violence as much as I did watching those 90s indie action movies,” he said. “I’m channeling all the Geoff Darrow’s Hard Boiled energy to make it happen. Also… some good old Nazi-punching and corporate dehumanization condemnation, what’s not to love?”

Senior Editor Maggie Howell pointed to the concept as a key draw. “Dispatched pays homage to all the sincere, heart-pounding, high stakes action thrillers we all love from the ‘90s, but the modern twist and conflicts are entirely its own,” she said. “Clay’s pitch for this book was impossible to ignore, a clear, simple premise with endless possibilities baked in, and it’s been a blast to help him and Daniel explore the toy box while the story clock ticks down to total chaos.”

Dispatched #1 features colors by Lee Loughridge and lettering by AndWorld Design. The debut issue will include covers by Daniel Gete and David Lapham, along with a retailer incentive cover by Andy MacDonald.
