Skybound has announced World’s Beyond Number: The Official Graphic Novel, a new Kickstarter campaign based on the hit narrative podcast created by Brennan Lee Mulligan, Erika Ishii, Aabria Iyengar, and Lou Wilson.
You can watch the new campaign video below.
At the center of the campaign is Worlds Beyond Number Presents: The Wizard, The Witch, and The Wild One: Prelude, a 240-page hardcover that kicks off the saga in graphic novel form. Adapted by Jadzia Axelrod and illustrated by Sarah Webb, the book explores how Suvi, Ame, and Eursulon first met, following the childhood adventure that set their lives on a new path.
Fans can sign up now to be notified ahead of the campaign launch on June 16, 2026. Those who join the mailing list and back a physical tier will receive a free “BE KIND” pin.
“We’ve dreamed for a long time about finding the right way to bring The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One to the page, and seeing this world transformed into a graphic novel has been genuinely surreal for all of us,” said the World’s Beyond Number cast. “What began as friends telling a story together has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined, thanks entirely to the passion of our community. We’re incredibly excited to invite you back into Umora in a whole new way.”
The story begins with an evocative setup as Suvi, Ame, and Eursulon are introduced as children, pulled from their familiar lives into something far stranger and more dangerous. It is a foundational tale that shows how their bond formed and what eventually draws them back together years later.
Writer Jadzia Axelrod spoke about adapting the series, saying, “As a long-time RPG player and GM, I was primed to become a fan of WBN from the moment it launched. I’ve been writing comics professionally for over a decade, so imagine my delight when I got a call to adapt my favorite podcast. Figuring out how to tell a story with no visuals at all in a primarily visual medium was no easy task, but I relished the challenge. And I am so incredibly proud of the end result Sarah and I have made.”
Artist Sarah Webb added, “The WBN team has created such a beautifully textured and moving world here, and it was a true pleasure to spend time with this story while translating it to a visual medium. This graphic novel has so many elements I love illustrating, from heartfelt characters and strange creatures to deep forests and eerie monsters, but more importantly, it tells a story worth telling.”
The campaign will also feature a wide range of exclusive rewards, including bookmarks, stickers, patches, pins, and prints tied to the Wizard, Witch, and Wild One, along with stretch goals to be unlocked over time.
“We’re all such big fans of Worlds Beyond Number at Skybound and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them to bring this epic adventure to comics for the first time,” said Skybound Editorial Director Alex Antone. “Jadzia and Sarah did an incredible job on this book, and we can’t wait for fans to dive in.”
