TMNT Tuesday #58: Three exclusive previews as TMNT #18 finale takes center stage

Exclusive new pages tease a massive showdown for Splinter and the Turtles, plus full previews of ‘Shredder’ #8 and ‘Tales of the TMNT’ #6.

TMNT Tuesday is back, and this week is loaded with reveals that push the current era into its biggest moment yet.

First up, we’ve got an exclusive first look at two all-new color pages from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #18, the finale of Gene Luen Yang and Freddie Williams II’s opening Ujigami arc. This is the issue everything has been building toward, and if you’ve been following along, you already know things are far from simple.

Splinter is back, but not fully. His essence is fractured, leaving the Turtles with an impossible task: make their master whole again while battling a monstrous threat pulled straight from beyond the veil. The Shinigami isn’t done, and what it unleashes here pushes Clan Hamato to its limit. These new pages tease a finale that looks as emotional as it is explosive, with Williams delivering the kind of dynamic, high-impact visuals that have defined this run.

And this is just the beginning. With #18 wrapping the Ujigami saga, all roads now point toward the long march to issue #300 and “The City that Never Dies.” If this finale is any indication, things are only going to get bigger from here.

Looking ahead to next week, we’ve also got full preview pages for two major releases hitting May 20.

In Shredder #8, Dan Watters and Sid Kotian continue their brutal reinvention of Oroku Saki’s world. The Dog Star Clan has been overtaken by a horrifying cybernetic infection, twisting bodies into something grotesque and barely human. Shredder is not the type to hesitate, though, and this preview makes it clear he’s ready to cut through whatever stands in his way, even if steel alone may not be enough.

Then there’s Tales of the TMNT #6, written by Andrew Joustra with art by Louie Joyce, pulling from the energy of the newest animated series. This time, the spotlight shifts to Fugitoid, who is forced to step up in a big way. With the Turtles trapped deep within the E.P.F. alongside Zog, and threats like Blanque and Bishop closing in, Fugitoid has to rely on both his humanity and his ninja training to survive. It’s a fun, high-stakes setup that blends sci-fi chaos with classic TMNT heart.

Between a major arc finale, a deeper dive into Shredder’s war, and a spotlight on Fugitoid’s growth, this week’s TMNT Tuesday has a little bit of everything.

With #300 looming on the horizon, we’re just getting started!
