Marvel Comics has revealed the final lineup of covers for DNX #1, the opening chapter of a major five-issue event series from writer Jed MacKay and artist Federico Vicentini that brings the X-Men and Fantastic Four together against a crisis threatening all of humanity.
Launching in September, DNX centers on the release of the X-Virus, a dangerous force capable of mutating humanity on a global scale. The storyline builds on threads established throughout MacKay’s X-Men run and promises lasting repercussions for the relationship between mutants and humans across the Marvel Universe.
Marvel also confirmed that DNX #1 will be the latest launch included in its True Believers Blind Bag program. Each sealed bag contains an exclusive cover unavailable through standard ordering, with some bags featuring rare hand-drawn sketch covers from surprise artists.
Among the newly revealed covers are pieces by Fanyang and Puppeteer Lee. Lee’s artwork will be available as a standard variant cover, while Fanyang’s cover will only be found inside True Believers Blind Bags. Marvel also unveiled Leinil Francis Yu’s X Variant Cover, with a black-and-white version reserved exclusively for Blind Bags.
Collectors will find several additional exclusives in the program. Chris Giarrusso contributes a wraparound cover inspired by Whilce Portacio’s iconic Uncanny X-Men #281 cover. A Marvel Rivals variant by NetEase Games highlights Rogue’s popular Savage South skin from the hit video game, while an animation-inspired variant showcases artwork from X-Men ’97 ahead of the show’s second season premiere on July 1.
Marvel will also offer two blank sketch variants for artists and collectors. One version will be available through normal ordering channels, while the second will be exclusive to the True Believers Blind Bag program.
With a mutant pandemic threatening the future of the Marvel Universe and an impressive collection of covers available, DNX #1 is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s biggest launches of the fall.
DNX #1 TRUE BELIEVERS BLIND BAGS will only contain exclusive variant covers not available for regular ordering. The main cover and regular open-to-order variant covers cannot be found in True Believers Blind Bags. See below for a list of the exclusive blind bag variant covers. In addition to those listed, fans can once again look forward to super rare exclusive covers by surprise contributors, including hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind sketch covers.
