The streets of Mega-City One are about to get a lot louder.
Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, The Nacelle Company, Oni Press, and Rebellion have announced a new publishing and merchandising partnership that kicks off with Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars #1, a two-issue crossover event arriving in comic shops in December 2026. The oversized, 40-page series will be written by Dan Watters (M.A.S.K., Batman: Dark Patterns) and Ryan O’Sullivan (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War), with artwork by Jordi Tarragona (Injustice: Gods Among Us).
The crossover brings together two of pop culture’s most distinctive visions of the future: the dystopian sprawl of Mega-City One and the high-octane world of the Martian freedom fighters Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo.
The story begins when the villainous duo Limburger and Karbunkle discover a new world ripe for exploitation. Their plans quickly go sideways when the Biker Mice intervene, leading the trio to become stranded in Mega-City One, a city of 400 million citizens where Judge Dredd is the law. Things only escalate when the arrival of the Martian heroes attracts the attention of Judge Death, forcing enemies and allies alike into a battle for survival.
According to Rebellion’s Head of Publishing Ben Smith, the pairing felt natural from the outset.
“Mutants and mayhem are two of the founding pillars of Judge Dredd’s world, so when Oni and Nacelle approached us about a crossover with the Biker Mice From Mars we knew this would be exactly our kind of Thrillpower,” Smith said. “The Biker Mice From Mars are the perfect fit for Dredd’s radical, radioactive vision of the future, and this is going to be a revved-up, all-action spectacular for fans.”
The crossover also marks the beginning of a broader collaboration between Rebellion and The Nacelle Company. Nacelle’s consumer products division will produce a new line of action figures and collectibles featuring crossover designs combining Judge Dredd and Biker Mice From Mars characters. The first wave of collectibles is scheduled to go up for preorder this fall, with releases planned for 2027.
Oni Press President and Publisher Hunter Gorinson said the creative teams involved made the project an easy sell.
“It’s truly a thrill to be walking the streets of Mega-City One with our amazing partners at Rebellion and The Nacelle Company,” Gorinson said. “The amount of love and fervor for Judge Dredd and the iconic legacy of 2000 AD that flows through both Oni and Nacelle is palpable, and, thanks to the huge talents of Dan Watters, Ryan O’Sullivan, and Jordi Tarragona, we’re excited to give fans the 22nd century’s first truly great comic event.”
Nacelle CEO Brian Volk-Weiss, a longtime fan of Judge Dredd, admitted he initially thought the offer might be too good to be true.
“I’ve been a massive fan of Judge Dredd for at least 35 years and when Hunter suggested this collab, I warned him that he better not be punking me,” Volk-Weiss said. “Being able to play in the Mega-City One sandbox is beyond a dream come true!”
To celebrate the launch of the partnership, attendees at San Diego Comic-Con can participate in a special promotional event beginning Thursday, July 23. Fans who visit the Rebellion, Nacelle, and Oni Press booths to collect official stamps on a Mega-City One parking ticket will receive one of 500 limited-edition art prints featuring the upcoming series by Eisner Award-winning artist David Finch.
Created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra in 1977, Judge Dredd has crossed paths with everyone from Batman to Alien and Predator over nearly five decades of publication. However, this marks the first time the lawman of Mega-City One has faced off against Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo. It also represents the first Biker Mice From Mars crossover outside of the expanding NacelleVerse.
Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars #1 arrives in comic shops worldwide in December 2026 and will feature covers by David Finch, Karl Kerschl, Andrew Krahnke, and additional artists to be announced.
Meanwhile, fans of the Martian heroes have more to look forward to. Nacelle and Oni Press are preparing to launch The Art of The Toys That Made Us Kickstarter campaign later this month, while Biker Mice From Mars: Scorch #1 debuts in August from writer Matt Hotson and artist V Ken Marion.
