Recapturing Glory
The Hawk is the nickname of former number one golfer Lonnie Hawkins. He was a big deal back in the day winning three of the top majors of the sport. He could have made it four for four but an unfortunate hit made him lose his chance to make his mark in history.
Two decades later, Lonnie is making a come back and giving it one last try to earn the Grand Slam. Father Time has caught up to him and he’s no longer the physical specimen he used to be. Not only that, but he must compete against his son who is the current golden boy of golf. Can he conjure up the magic that made him so successful for another big tournament?
The first season of The Hawk releases Thursday, July 16, on Netflix.
