Marvel Comics is bringing back its annual Trick-Or-Read program this October, giving comic shops another chance to introduce readers of all ages to the Marvel Universe through free Halloween comics.
This year’s lineup features two very different entry points. Fans looking for high-stakes superhero horror can dive into Infernal Hulk #1, while younger readers can enjoy an all-ages adventure with Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
Since launching in 2023, Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Nic Klein’s acclaimed Hulk run has transformed Bruce Banner’s world into one of Marvel’s darkest ongoing stories. Last year’s Infernal Hulk relaunch saw the Eldest seize control of Hulk’s body, setting the stage for next year’s Hulk War crossover event.
The Infernal Hulk #1 Halloween Trick-Or-Read 2026 edition reprints the first issue of that storyline, giving new readers an easy way to catch up before the Infernal Hulk vs. one-shots. Beginning with Infernal Hulk vs. Wolverine #1 in September, the five-part event sees the corrupted Hulk battle Marvel heroes while assembling an army of monstrous champions.
For younger audiences, Spidey and His Amazing Friends #1 Halloween Trick-Or-Read 2026 offers stories and activities inspired by the hit Disney Jr. and Disney+ animated series. The issue also features Symbie, who recently starred in his own one-shot, joining Spidey, Ghost-Spider, and Spin for a Halloween-themed adventure designed to welcome the next generation of comic readers.
